HELENA PERSSON (SE)
Nasofobi-nasofili

Helena Persson engineers a situation where a power struggle has taken place with sculptures that question their own relative sizes, with facades, control instruments, and crackled protection. The
installation tells the story about the traces of a struggle. Entangled
remains linger, as well as absence and change, which reveal questions of strength and weakness, aggresiveness and tenderness.

Persson was born in 1972, lives in Malmö, and works with sculpture,
installations and performance. Her work has been shown at Galleri Huuto in Helsinki, Galleri Dunk in Copenhagen, and Galleri Rostrum in Malmö.

OTW//RIKARD THAMBERT (SE)
I’m a reptile

Rikard Thambert, 1988, is educated at Idun Lovén School of Art,
Stockholm, and continues his studies at Bergen National Academy of
Art, Norway, this autumn. Rikard works with painting. He appreciates
the dysfunctional communication that a two-dimensional articulation
carries on its shoulders. Painting is a bit like using Paint instead
of Photoshop, outdated, but you may still have the best moves on the
dance floor in the end of the night. “I’m a reptile” is paintings made
with grease pencil and oil colors on canvas.
